What I've learned so far this week [Dec. 16th, 2008|10:48 am]

Even at my advanced age, I can still stay up until 3am (cast party), although truthfully it was more endurance than fun and I got a little snippy.

Percy waited until 7:30am to wake me up the next morning and I didn't kill him and I then made it through the day.

To-do list guilt trumps post-coital lassitude.

There are worse things that having a little box of map pins open up and spill all over your briefcase...but it's right up there. Because no matter how careful you are, one of them is going right up under your fingernail.

It doesn't matter how soon I buy the gifts for my out of state relatives, I will still be packing the boxes in a crazed panic to get them to the post office in time for priority mail.

Yes, home-baking is a gift from the heart. But I need to suck it up and realize that my time is limited and maybe a coffeecake from King Arthur Flour would be fine and reduce my stress level by such a degree that it's worth paying for. Since baked goods cost just as much when they're homemade...

Thank you! That whole come-from-the-heart baking thing...well....divide your time with kitchen disaster and the fact that a small @ss bag of chopped pecans cost me $4.00 and well, yes, it is CHEAPER to order something...just sayin'.....
