Because there's always another amazing thing [Jun. 12th, 2009|08:30 am]

Of course, I could just be blessed with an overabundance of optimistic brain chemicals. Or maybe I'm missing the bummer recpetors. (For the record, I COULD get technical and use the proper names and the proper biological processes, but fer chrissakes, it's Friday!)

But I have a really hard time being depressed. Oh, I can get there but, I'm easily distracted from it. Maybe I just don't have the stick-to-it-iveness, the endurance, the attention span.

Not that I'm feeling depressed, just stressed and overwhelmed, starting to crisp depressed around the edges. But then, I come across this article and in true "look there's a monkey" fashion, I am buoyed by the echidna.

What is not to love about babies that are called puggles, pink milk, spines and four-headed penises?

If you ever want lessons in depression, just ask me- I'm an expert. I'm also pretty good at the distraction game, tho' my version is more like, "Oh, look, a bug!" as I'm not fond of monkeys.

On another note, what a great article! You had me at "puggles" but if you hadn't, four-headed penises would have done the trick. So to speak. *ahem*

Thank you for the timely injection *ahem* of monotremity.

If I weren't already desperately in love with you..."monotremity" would have been the clincher.

Ah... another conquest falls to my misuse of the English language.
