This week's Favorite Thing [Sep. 8th, 2006|08:53 am]

Carbona Color Run Remover.

Found this post-Sterling -- after coming home and looking at one of my favorite chemises, now stained with red bits and black bits from being drenched, drenched, to the skin, soaking wet all day long, in the black and red bodice. Not to mention the lovely purple gray splotch that the PR Crusty flag left on my arm...that sucker bleeds!

Thought the chemise was a goner...but put it in a bucket of this stuff and wow, the various dye spots just vanished within minutes. And the chemise looks brand new. Well, almost. Drawback -- what was a cream chemise is now whit, but the fabric doesn't seem weakened. So, if you need those color runs to go away peacefully on a white or near-white item...this is the stuff!

Can be found at fabric stores -- and at Giant, in the laundry/sewing notions area.

Don't you know, once you have a bleeder, it'll bleed dye until you finally scream in anguish and throw the f***er out.

Which explains why periodically, I do a small load of "red" wash -- ONE of those shirts is a bleeder and I can't remember which one!

"Cream chemise is now whit,"..so Carbona Color Run Remover not only get's the dye out it makes your clothes smarter too? Wow!! :-) *ducking for flying shoes*

Seriously, I need this after Saturday when the leather bodice strings put nice dark lines on my chemise...of course, I could just keep it that way for VARF...:-)

Hah, I'll match my missing "e" against the extraneous apostrophe in "get's"!

Grammar cat fight! You know it's going to happen...and tickets won't be cheap!
