I'm doing research on coffee, trends, industry, etc. Following a lead to coffeegeek.com where I find this ad:|

Or....you could drink less coffee.

Do NOT get me started on drugs, ads for drugs and the money involved. Yes, drinking a little less coffee is a good idea. Actually... I've quit entirely. Wasn't planning it at all, just all of a sudden it made me sick so not so pleasant a habit any more. I like herb teas but honestly, they just don't start a morning like a good cup of coffee! Oh, well.
SLEEP...we don't need no stinkin' SLEEP!!!

Actually, coffee doesn't keep me awake at night. I've gotten up at 2am, made a pot of coffee, drank it and gone right back to sleep.
Now, keep in mind that I've been a heavy coffee drinker since I was three - our doctor suggested it as an alternative to Ridalin for my hyperactivity. At one point I was up to about 6-8 pots of coffee per day and no, my java "habit" isn't normal, but then neither am I ;)
