Men who aren't actually attractive... [Oct. 17th, 2006|11:45 pm]

But they are.

Just having watched Boston Legal, under the influence of half a bottle of cheap red wine, I have to add James Spader to a list that includes John Malkovich and...oh, hell, there go the tannins in that red wine, interfering with brain reception again...

Anyway, you know you've got the list. Well, at least you women do. The list of men who aren't really physically attractive. Yet...still...you'd bed them in a heartbeat. If they're actors, you might be basing it on their characters, but still.

Hell, even Geoffrey Rush. Good heavens, sometimes their faces would stop a clock, but you still think...I'll be he's fab in the sack. Let's face it, women know that in the dark you can't really see their face anyway. And frankly, that's not what you're, er, shtupping. Give us all of the other qualities that these less than perfect guys (or the characters they play) exhibit. Agility, subtlety (I can't be that ineb'ed, if I can spell that) and a sense of fun...

Do men have those lists? CAN men have those lists, since "she wants to sleep with me" seems to be the major criteria? Well, no, not even that, huh? She has a ----, a vague sense of personal hygiene and is not THAT closely related to me by blood, I suppose those are the main criteria.

Ah, but I malign my boys, in the interest of humor...

Actually I think James Spader is really hot. Maybe its just because of the characters he plays (minus Dr. Jackson in Stargate) are very strong personalities (if you haven't seen Two Days in the Valley, I recommend it).

But I'm sure that men have those lists, they're just a little different :)

I have to agree on the James Spader reference except I found him a real turn on in Stargate..I think it was that nerdy/innocence he portrayed..yummy..like a lamb to the slaughter :-)

Billy Joel, Rod Stewart and Mick Jagger all bedded scores of stunningly gorgeous models.

Sweeping Generalization #1: Men are attracted to physical beauty. (physical beauty = good breeder)

Sweeping Generalization #2: Women are attracted to talent, power, and charisma, even if it comes in a goofy-looking or downright ugly package. (talent, power, and charisma = good provider)
