Snore.... [Mar. 31st, 2008|04:39 pm]
terribleturnip
Please tell me that I am not the only person who has fallen asleep during an MRI...yeah, open-mouthed, loud SNORK of awakening, almost choking on my own spit kind of sleeping.

Hey, put headphones on me and tell me not to move and well...I sort of lose all reason to stay awake don't I?

Obviously, some of us find that whole enclosed in a tube with a loud hammering noise sort of soothing. Ah, no one wants anything from me....

They gave you headphones?!? Man, I'm complaining to my insurance company. They just yelled at me to keep still if I didn't want to have to do it twice.

Even so, I did get a little drowsy. I think it was the first time in 25 years that I got to lie on my back for more than five minutes without having a cat step on my bladder.

This is weird

I just returned from the MRI center, sat down at the computer and I read this. OK, really eerie. I also fell asleep -- the tech started speaking to me and I almost fell off that 2 inch bedlike thing they have you lie on. They will have my results in 2 days and they are going to FAX them to my orthopedic surgeon. FAX them??? The doctor's office is next door to the MRI place. I counted - 10 steps, using a cane. Probably could do less if I could walk. But then, I wouldn't need the MRI, so the problem is moot.

First one they gave me headphones and told me to be still but that was pre-surgery and I was in too much pain from the Sciatic sp? nerve to fall asleep.

Second MRI..took Oxycodone and Flexaril and slept like a baby...actually drooled on myself :-)

You are my hero :-)

During my latest CT scan I nearly did the same thing...I could feel the lids a closing. Like you said no reason to stay awake when you are told to just lay there AND they tell you it takes a LONG time. I may have let out one snork. LOL Too funny!
