Although I haven't posted much about my self-inflicted pain lately, I wanted to assure you that I'm not slacking on the doing, just the writing about it. |
I did give myself a vicious paper cut two weeks ago, that has finally now healed. But since the offending paper material was the catalog of one of my suppliers -- the one that I took ten million dollars of business away from to give to a new supplier, merry expletive christmas to them, which sucked to have to do -- so I sort of felt as if I DESERVED it. I know, you lose ten million dollars and you retaliate with a paper cut? Hey, it took two weeks to heal, so it wasn't just ANY papercut. But still, voodoo apparently isn't all it's knocked up to be anymore. So, I didn't feel that belonged in the Annals of Klutz.
But last night, getting into the car to get home, I did manage to catch the edge of my skirt on the corner of my car door. And when I bent over to unhook it, my bending over pulled the car door toward me and it whacked me smack across the forehead. And I sat up in pain, shouted an expletive...and leaned over and damn near did the same thing again.
Because repetition is a crucial component to effective learning.
