What. Oh, I am so damn tired! [Apr. 25th, 2011|10:02 pm]
But I will be out of pocket (what the hell does THAT mean? Seriously, were you being that effective IN the pocket? You'd think you could get more done OUT of it. But whatever, I'm too tired to look it up) for a couple of days.

01. Make a list of 5 things you can see without getting up.
An empty cider bottle; a tarantula puppet; a atack of Virginia Faire paperwork; a peccary skull, and a velociraptor. I'm at my desk and my cider is gone, so it's time for bed, the puppet is dusty as hell, the paperwork can NOT believe that I didn't finish it tonight and the raptor has clearly been knocked off the Shelf O'Dino's by some damn cat who thought that jumping up onto a high, narrow shelf filled with 50 or more plastic dinosaurs was a good idea. Bastard. Now it looks like Jurrasic Park was hit by a sarin attack. The peccary skull? I'm just weird.

02. How do you style your hair?
I wash it. My hair guy gave me some "Product" that I scrunch into my hair and sometimes it looks okay and sometimes it looks like ass and I suspect that the $30 tube of "Product" has nothing to do with it. I know that my desire or need for good-looking hair has no effect on whatever my hair decides to do that day. I am my hair's Bitch.

03. What are wearing now?
Very old khaki shorts and a t-shirt that Fetch gave to me and it's butter soft. No, wait, clothing should definitely not be like butter. It's soft like that binky or goobee or whatever you called your special blanket, you know, the one you dragged around for years and couldn't live without and finally one day your mother just pitched it and you STILL carry that grudge. Don't get me wrong. I love my mother. But seriously, could we have WEANED me off of it a little?

04. What's your ringtone?
My current phone doesn't have one that sounds like a phone ringing so I went with Doorbell. And that sentence sums up my technological apathy and aptitude in one short sentence.

05. What do you hear right now?
Pyrates rehearsing outside and Pandora trying to figure out what makes me happy. Don't worry, Pandora, it's not EASY. Ask my Ex. Oh, and a cat snoring.

06. What's your favorite guilty pleasure treat?
Hostess Snowballs. I missed having the lavender ones for Easter, so I'll have to just soldier on and go for the pink. I get to have one of each color each year. There is so much that is heinous about them. Yet...

07. What are you thinking about right now?
That I could be sleeping, but no, here I am....moron.

08. What was your latest earworm?
My head is so busy that for earworms, it's like opening day at the Ear Robin Convention.

09. What's your favorite holiday?

10. If you came across $5000 (or other currency) would you keep it or turn it in?
If it was clear who it belonged to, turn it in. If there was no way of tracking down the owner...or if the owner was some bastard rich guy...there'd be an ugly Yankee frugal vs. Yankee honest war in my head.

11. What was the last thing you bought?
A netbook. Because I've realized that I can no longer do my job, or keep up with the Faire without being able to be connected on the road. And a smartphone is too small for me to effectively read and type and a tablet is out of my budget and frankly, more than I need right now.

12. If you could afford to go anywhere in the world, where would you go?
Australia. By way of Germany and Provence. With a stop in St. John on the way back.

13. Where do you see yourself in 5 hours?
Being woken up by a cat that just can't lay there, but has to reach out and touch my face, freaking me out and alerting my bladder that it's been HOURS.

14. Last book you read?
The Passage and Bill Bryson's At Home. Because reading one book at a time would mean that you could concentrate.

15. What are you doing this weekend?
Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha...whatever Virginia Faire needs me to do.

16. If you could play any musical instrument, which one would you play?

17. How are you?
I'm tired. Jeez, quit PESTERING ME. I'd be in bed by now, you and your questions.

18. What are you doing tomorrow?
Going to experience the joys of a paper mill. Oh, the fun never stops!

19. What are you looking forward to the most?
Bed. Virginia Faire being over -- because that means I can sleep past 5:30 occasionally. English Peas. My tax refund check.

Did I mention going to bed?

"a atack of Virginia Faire paperwork"

I read this as "an attack" instead of what I believe should read "a stack".

I think that is somehow appropriate.

I have tentative plans to be at VARF on Sunday, May 8th. Will say hi !
