|How to tag a New Englander

Sure, y'all think you can make us say "park the car in harvard yard" and that'll flush us out. Piff. We can see that one a mile away. |
But I pass by a real estate sign that says:
and I am doomed. My roots are out. I've been practicing since last night and I STILL can't say it in Middle Atlantic. Or southern. Or Minnesota. Or any of the other accents that I've used like brooms (brums) to carefully bury (berry) my native tongue.
You may not find this funny, if you've never lived in, or known someone who had a traditional New England accent.
So, you'll be reduced to buying me a beer (beah) and shoving a piece of paper in front of me with those words on it.
